Swansea Arena and Copr Bay
As of the 15th of March the brand new Swansea Arena opened its doors to the public. As part of the £135 million Copr Bay project, Swansea Council has allocated £48 million towards the development of the new venue.
So what's all of the fuss about? For a start the city centre's new arena has a 3,500 capacity - a mixture of standing and seated - which has already generated an exciting line up of live musical performances including Royal Blood and Alice Cooper.
Additionally there is an impressive array of live comedians scheduled, including:

- Kevin Bridges.
Parking at the venue has been factored in with 960 parking spaces in Copr Bay, which will necessary with the 230,000 anticipated visitors each year that will attend the comedy, music, sports and conference events at the arena.
In addition to the live comedians and music acts that will be entertaining the people of Swansea, the City's venue will also be hosting events such as 4The Region and Swansea Comic and Gaming Convention in its 750 seat conference theatre. The venue includes a full dining service that can also accommodate all 750 guests.
With over £1bn being invested across Swansea, the ambition is to elevate the city to be one of the most vibrant places to live, work, visit and study in the UK. The Copr Bay area will include a new hotel, housing, a landmark bridge, business facilities, shops and dining experiences.
The 1.1 acre coastal park's location is destined to become a hotspot for relaxation and socialising among the landscaped gardens and the pavilion cafe.
